What is the Age Range for Students at the Pasadena Art Center - Dance Street CA?

The Pasadena Art Center - Dance Street CA offers a range of educational opportunities for students of all ages. To be eligible for enrollment, students must be enrolled full-time and maintain a minimum of 12 units. On Friday of the first week, those who are not enrolled in at least 12 units will receive an ArtCenter Lite course, which will count for one of the two ArtCenter Lite (ACL) periods awarded to students. Those who have exhausted their two ACL terms will not be assigned an ACL term and will be charged for full-time tuition.Attendance and participation are essential components of the educational experience, particularly in courses that involve group work and peer criticism.

Therefore, class attendance and participation are important factors in determining grades. Students are expected to attend all enrolled classes regularly and to arrive on time, staying throughout the class period. ArtCenter does not allow students to attend classes they are not enrolled in, including field trips. If a student is absent due to serious or ongoing medical or personal problems, they should contact the Center for Student Experience (CSE) as soon as possible for additional advice, in addition to informing their instructor and department representative (president, director, or coordinator). The Art Center College of Design offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in a wide variety of applied and visual arts, as well as public programs for all ages and skill levels.

News & World Report and Business Week have both featured Art Center among the best design schools in the world. The school's Transdisciplinary Study (TDS) workshops combine final year students from different specializations in projects that require several areas of specialization. Founded by a group of people who believed in the power of connecting art with industry, project-based learning is a key element of the Art Center's educational philosophy. All TDS workshops have a Humanities and Design Sciences component and many are sponsored projects in which students develop specific business ideas and strategies for corporate sponsors. Recognized for its rigorous curriculum, its links with industry, and its social impact initiatives, Art Center is the first design school to receive the status of a United Nations Non-Governmental Organization.

Beyond the corporate environment, Art Center partners with communities and organizations around the world to improve lives through art and design.
